You want to fix your eyes, but not sure where to start?
It is normal to be anxious about eye surgery but don’t worry - we are able to work with you to provide a relaxing, stress free environment and make it a pleasant experience.
Surgery can be offered with a combination of local anaesthetic, tablet sedatives or medication through an IV line to make you comfortable. These options will be discussed at the preoperative consultation.
There is no one size fits all - we are able to customise things to meet your needs.
Lens replacement surgery
Lens replacement surgery (a.k.a cataract surgery) can be performed if you are not happy with your vision
This can now be done safely in under 15 minutes per eye
There are a variety of lens options that may reduce your need to wear glasses (especially for reading)
We will work with your optometrist to provide a suitable option
Surgery is now pain free and can be done without any injections (needle free anaesthesia)
Both eyes are possible to be done on the same day
Not everything is possible for every eye, a thorough consultation and measurements are required for the best and most accurate advice for you
Please see lens information sheet below
Eyelid surgery
As a comprehensively trained eyelid specialist, a variety of eyelid and tear duct surgeries are able to be performed for watery eyes, hooded eyelids or droopy eyelids (adults and children)
These can be done with you awake but numbed, or with some relaxing medicine on board. Occasionally you will be under general anaesthesia (asleep)
Please see the information sheets below for some important FAQ’s
